I feel I should tell you that this group of students (Pastoral Roles and Responsibilities Winter 2005 class) has been wonderful to work with. I can’t remember when every member of a course like this has performed at such a high level. Each came to class every time thoroughly prepared from their assigned reading to participate in productive discussion. And every assignment (often requiring both written and oral response) was done very, very well. Perhaps it was the fact that we were a small group—that created a dynamic that contributed to staying on our toes. But it marked every student, and I enjoyed the experience thoroughly.
